Who is this class for? Class sizes are 6-7 people and aimed at adults. We can accomodate 12-16 year olds if accompanied by an adult.
Where is the class? The class takes place in the beautiful setting of our family farm nestled on the edge of Sheepleas nature reserve and at the foot of The Surrey Hills, an area of outstanding natural beauty.
What kind of day will it be? We aim to make it a relaxed pace, however we have lots to teach you. We should be finished by 16:30. Our goal is for everyone leaves with a finished basket (depending on the group we may run over on time)
The workspace is undercover in a former open sided farm building, or weather dependent can be around the open fire in a small adjacent copse. Lunch is generally cooked on the same fire and served there.
The kettle is generally always on the go - on the fire, so students can take a break whenever they feel and soak in the surrounding nature.
Aimed at beginners. Most students will be first timers, some may be returning to further practice their skills and gain more experience.
Please bear in mind basket making can be tough on the hands, so if you have a loss of strength in your hands you might find this class difficult.
About your instructor: Ellie Morgan is a highly skilled, full time basket weaver and crafter. Read more her about in the Team
We will guide you through the steps of making a basket of your very own.

Reviews: “I enjoyed the whole experience! Being creative and having something tangible to take away and in a peaceful, beautiful setting - it won't have been the same in a classroom.” Cyra, Farnham, Dec21
