Date TBC -Botanical Printing Art Experience Surrey - 10am o 13:30
Learn how to create stunning prints from leaves, feathers and other natural materials foraged from the farm. This is an opportunity to have fun being creative in our craft studio on the farm surrounded by nature. You will be taught by the excellent Ellie Green from Surrey Art School.
This class is a beginner-kind class. It’s inspired by nature, the season and aimed at re-establishing a connection to nature and oneself. We'll work with non-toxic vegetable oil based inks and pull prints that look almost photographic in quality and detail. No previous print experience necessary - perfect for beginners.
All materials included. You’ll come away with multiple prints.
Our experience offers more than just printmaking. As morning unfolds, we indulge your senses with the inviting aroma of locally-roasted Chimney Fire coffee. Gather round our open fire, savouring the calming brew and immersing yourself in nature's soothing rhythm.
With each crackle of the fire and rustle of leaves, nature's symphony will alleviate daily stress. Surrounded by whispering trees and melodic bird songs, discover a serene space to breathe, relax, and reconnect.
At Joy Farms, we blend creativity, nature, warmth, and tranquility into a holistic sensory journey. Immerse yourself in this unique blend and experience the simple pleasure of crafting art accompanied by a perfect cup of coffee. 🍃☕🎨✨

What to expect?
We’ll inspire and guide you through creating your own nature prints.
We will begin with an optional short stroll around the farm to forage some leaves and materials to print with.
We’ll create a number of black mono-prints and explore mixing colour.
During your time here, you can enjoy the surrounds of nature. The kettle is always on the fire, so you’ll be able to help yourself to tea, coffee and treats by the open fire (weather permitting) during breaks.
What to wear?
You will be handling inks, so please don’t wear your favourite clothes. Aprons will be available to use.
We will be based in our craft studio at the top of the farm, it is covered, however we are open to the elements, so please dress accordingly. We recommend you wear layers that you can take off or add (more in winter or cold spells!) A warm coat that you can move in, a waterproof coat if it’s raining as there’s a short walk to the workshop. Gloves, a wooly hat, scarf – whatever you would normally wear for an outdoor walk. Sometimes even sitting around a fire it can get chilly.
We wear warm boots or shoes with a good sole, as there may be a fair amount of standing or sitting and don't forget this is a farm - there can be mud! Trainers aren't ideal if its been wet.
Please note: The photos of prints have been displayed on coloured card on a blackboard for photographic display purposes. (Your experience will include up to 6 pieces of coloured card from stock available. More can be purchased.
